Our aim is true. Our justification, eh, maybe not so much…

Strategy sometimes serves as a justification for organizations and leaders to do things. The action becomes the reason to seek funding. The funding becomes the reason for continuing to do things.

Organizations obsessed with doing things will quickly find themselves drifting from project to project, without the ability to sustain and grow they things they do.

Any organization can (and often will) do many things. What they do, however, runs the risk of constraining what they achieve, how well they succeed, and whether the actions are right for the organization and its stakeholders.
