Due Date: 12.10 2018. Support available for promising doctoral students engaged in innovative and relevant research in the areas of computer science and engineering to encourage their continued studies, innovative research, and engagement with the broader research community.
Open to first or second year PhD students PhD students at all universities in the United States and in other countries, with particular emphasis on talented students from traditionally under-represented minority groups in the technology sector.
Research priorities include: Applied Statistics, AR/VR Photonics & Optics, Computational Social Science, Computer Vision, Computer Storage & Efficiency, Distributed Systems, Economics & Computation, Hardware/Software Infrastructure for Machine Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Networking & Connectivity, Programming Languages, Security/Privacy, Spoken Language Processing & Audio Classification, UX/Instagram Well-being.
Amenities: Up to two years of tuition and fees paid, a stipend of $37,000 each year, and up to $5,000 in conference travel support.
Applications will be evaluated based on the strength of the student’s research statement, publication record, and recommendation letters.
