Due Date: 28.9 2018. The Voqal Fellowship is designed to increase equity and further progressive, social justice-oriented causes. Ideal applicants will have a specific issue or challenge they are looking to address over the course of their fellowship. Projects may be broad in scope, or a simple tool that will help resolve a social inequity or lead to progressive social change. Fellows will live and work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship.
During their fellowship, participants will be expected to complete their projects within six months. Mentors, selected among well-established professionals in the fellow’s field of interest, will be available to share their expertise and provide support.
Fellows will receive a USD $30,000 stipend. Qualifying fellows may also be eligible to receive an additional stipend to help offset the cost of personal health insurance.
Candidates must have 3-5 years of work experience, and may not be currently enrolled in a graduate program. The fellowship should be considered as a sabbatical and may not work full-time during the fellowship. Applications for projects that are part of an established organization or are well beyond the initial start-up period will not be considered for this fellowship.
