Due Date: 1.10 2018. The Foundation provides support for journalism engaged in rigorous, probing, spirited, independent and skeptical work that will benefit the public. Each year, journalists are selected as fellows to foster, promote, sustain and improve the best traditions of American journalism.
The fellowship is open to (a) U.S. citizens who are full-time print journalists, or (b) non-U.S. citizens who work full-time for U.S. print publications (either in U.S. or abroad). Freelancers are also welcome to apply. Applicants that deal with science or environmental journalism also will be considered for an additional designation as a Cissy Patterson fellow.
A stipend will be provided of USD $40,000 for twelve months or USD $20,000 for six months. This stipend is not intended to provide a salary, and it must cover travel and research costs.
