Call for Applications: “Youth for Entrepreneurship” – Eastern Partnership Youth Conference 2018 [Eastern Partnership countries]

Closing Date: 17.8 2018 for applications from the Eastern Partnership countries. The Eastern Partnership Youth Conference 2018: “Youth for Entrepreneurship” will take place 8-9 November in Vienna, Austria. 130 participants will gather to develop new skills, ideas and solutions to shared challenges. As part of the conference, 90 young entrepreneurs (ages 18-30) will be invited from the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine), as well as the European Union, Russia and Turkey,

Applicants looking to start a social enterprise or social business in their own communities are highly encouraged. The participation costs of the 90 selected participants will be fully covered by the conference organisers.

Before attending the Conference, successful applicants from the Eastern Partnership will also take part in the Social Entrepreneurship School between 24-30 September 2018 in Armenia (for Armenia, Georgia, Moldova participants); or 1-7 October 2018 in Ukraine (for Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine participants). This pre-conference supplement program is designed to boost entrepreneurial skills, employability, and frameworks for entrepreneurs’ involvement in the economic life of their communities.

The European Union promotes entrepreneurship as a key competence that can boost competitiveness and growth, with added emphasis on education and skills. Increasingly, entrepreneurship and self-employment are seen as pathways for young people to advance their careers and come out of unemployment.

The Eastern Partnership Youth Conference 2018 is organised by the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF), with the support of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Regional Office “Dialogue Eastern Europe”.
