Applications Due: 6.5 2019. One Young World will actively seek and prioritise applicants who are making a positive impact within their local community through the delivery of care to vulnerable people, their families and communities. Applicants must be working on the front lines of delivering care and dedicated to health and care giving to underserved populations and communities.
Scholarships will be provided to 12 young health leaders from across the globe. As well as attending the upcoming 2019 One Young World Summit, scholarship recipients will receive individual coaching from senior Johnson & Johnson executives to further develop their aspiration, strategy and/or initiatives.
All J&J OYW scholars also will be buddied with a team of 2019 J&J delegates over the course of the six-month program to help build and strengthen the capacity of the Scholar, through the sharing of their skills and knowledge.
Candidates must have (1) Demonstrated capacity for leadership; (2) Evidenced commitment to delivering positive change; (3) Understanding of key local and/or global issues; (4) Track record of generating impactful and innovative idea; (5) Interest and engagement in sharing and learning from others.
Selected scholars must be available to commit 10% of their time to the program, over the 6-month program period (September 2019 – February 2020).
NOTE: If selected, Health Care Professionals classified as Government Officials within their home country will need approval from their employer and may be required to undergo an additional health care compliance approval process by Johnson & Johnson before their scholarship can be confirmed.
