From the first day your social impact organization operates, it will establish connections. Connections to people (volunteers, staff, donors). Connections to capital (financial, social, human). Connections to purpose (stability, change, disruption, influence, preservation, empowerment, fairness, care, support). Some connections will be immediate, some slowly. Others will come intentionally, others by chance.
Your social impact organization will also form relationships through its connections. Relationships may be centered around need, exchange, or shared value. They may be operational, functional, situational, transactional or transformational. Sine relationships may last for a fixed period, others may endure over time.
Connections happen. Relationships develop.
