Closing Date: 21.10 2018. The 2018 Awards are organised with the support of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, and will recognise initiatives that have improved the digital skills of Europeans at school, at work, for ICT specialists, for girls and women and in society in general.
The winners and four runners up in each category will be invited to exhibit their project at the ICT 2018 conference in Vienna as a reward. The Awards will be presented by Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society on 6 December 2018.
Open to any organisation or company (e.g. national or local public authorities, businesses, education, non-governmental organisations, associations or a mix thereof) undertaking digital skills projects in Europe. Projects should contribute to the development of digital skills in Europe; with a particular emphasis on success stories which could be scaled-up and replicated in other cities, regions, countries and sectors. The initiative must cover one or multiple EU Members States or EFTA countries, and have started and shown results between the 1 January 2016 and 30 October 2018.
