Entries Due: 30.9 2018. 2019 Thematic Focus: Innovations in international solutions driven by cultural and creative sectors can be innovative cooperations or projects, products, business models or even market creating structures. A special focus is given to innovations from the cultural and creative industries involving big data, open government, transparent governance and the well-being of local, regional and national stakeholders.
Open to applicants from the cultural and creative sectors including: individuals and entrepreneurs, non-profit organisations, for-profit entities, public institutions and agencies, research institutions, and collaborative teams and networks (including those without a legal entity).
Applicants must be based in one of the 28 EU member states, or candidate/potential candidate states (i.e. Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo).
Up to 10 projects will be short-listed for the NICE Award 2019. On 12 February 2019, the jury will select the winners by interviewing all nominees in the City of Dortmund, Germany. Travel costs for the February ceremony may be partially refunded for two representatives of the shortlisted projects. Accommodations for nominees will also be provided.
The Award Winner can receive up to EUR 20 000. All nominated participants have opportunities to showcase their projects including pitching events with the NICE members across Europe, the NICE Dinner & Ceremony, and the NICE online presentation. Selected nominees will also be invited to a follow-up residency and collaborations in 2019 or 2020.
Entries must reflect projects, policies, or actions started or implemented between 01.01.2015 and 31.07.2018; and carried out within the EU28 nations, or the candidate/potential candidate countries to the European Union. Applicants must also include a short promotional film (3 minutes max.) to the application giving an insight into the project and/or idea.
