Nominations Due 1.11 2019. The Award recognizes a scholar in the field of Polish and East-Central European history who has written a book of particular value and significance dealing with the Polish experience or including the Polish experience within a larger East-Central European context.
- The book or body of work must be written in the English language.
- The author must be a scholar living and working in North America.
- The book must have been published during the 2018 calendar year. If the nomination is based on a body of work, it must include a significant publication within the last five calendar years.
- Both books containing original research or new, original syntheses are eligible for consideration; edited collections are ineligible.
The recipient will be recognized during the 78th Annual Meeting of PIASA in Chicago, June 12-14, 2020.
